Client: Double J/ABC Radio
On a number of occasions I have contributed illustration work to Double J for use across their digital platforms and social media. Playing off my many years designing for the local music scene, I was easily able to cater to the station's core demographic of older music lovers.

90s Emojis
Running across social media as part of Double J's special on the 90s. This illustration series asked what it would've been like if we had emojis back then. The brief was to make each image instantly decipherable while still looking like an emoji and not a standard illustration. Created using Adobe Illustrator, the main challenge in this was creating a unique style of emoji that emulated but not copied the ones on Android and Apple phones. The illustration garnered about 10,000 likes across social media.
George and Malcolm Young - The J Files
With their usual artist on holidays, I stepped in to illustrate the legendary Australian brothers of AC/DC and Easybeats fame who had recently passed away. I was asked to give my own take the image while keeping it similar to the regular illustrator's style.

The artwork was initially sketched out in pencil from reference and inked using a brush-pen on paper. It was then scanned into Photoshop where I added an ink wash effect. It was done this way to save time as the lead time was fairly tight and it would be quicker to make any corrections if needed.
Top 50 Film Soundtracks
These illustrations were done as part of Double J's Top 50 Soundtracks week. To go along with these specials I was asked to do artwork for two segments.

The first piece is a short animation asking the question, "What is your favourite animated film soundtrack?".
This next series was part of an online quiz which got the audience to guess which film each silhouette comes from. How many can you guess?
